Did you know that some '77 Ford and Mercury models were equipped with a manual fill load leveler system - air sleeve rear shock absorbers? Well, you would if you owned this helpful service manual set and turned to 14-45-1. It first provides a handy description along with some great visual tools. "The manual fill load leveler system (Fig. 2) is designed to level the rear of the vehicle under various load conditions. The rear shock absorbers can be inflated or deflated, as required, at the fill valve, located under the hood on the left fender apron, to bring the vehicle back to its normal design ride height. The system consists of an air valve, a flexible nylon air line assembly and two air sleeve rear shock absorbers (Fig. 1). The air fill valve is of the conventional tire valve type. The flexible nylon air line assembly uses ¼" diameter tubing with brass fittings and rubber O-rings." Following the description, you get directions for removal and installation of the components along with testing procedures.

Ford offered something for everyone with its lineup in 1977. Whether you wanted a big car, or a small one, choices abounded. Lincoln and Mercury also brought an array of luxury and value to the table. In 1976, Farrah Fawcett helped to make the Mustang II cool, while cruising around on the popular Charlie's Angels television show. The downsized pony-car continued the sleek styling in '77 with new appearance packages, T-tops and more. Also, in 1977, the Maverick said goodbye after a successful run. Whichever vintage Ford product you're ready to restore, repair or rebuild, this is the guide to make sure the projects are completed correctly and efficiently.

One of the top television shows in 1977 was Happy Days. With the help from this 1977 Ford Lincoln Mercury shop manual set, "happy days" are just what you'll have with your beloved classic blue oval. Order yours today!

This factory-written shop manual is perfect for service, repairs, restoration and rebuild projects. Clear illustrations and photos show exploded views, as well as component details, plus specifications on engine data, engine torque, carburetion and more.
