Beyond a handy section on general information, this guide addresses: front end, door and center pillar, rear quarter, rear end, seats, headlining, folding top, electrical, lubrication and exterior moulding. Please scroll down to the sample page below in order to see just how well the visual tools accompany the well-written text. This is a beautiful, freshly-printed version of the 1960 Buick body shop manual, which retains all of the material from the original source.

Coming off a major new look in 1959, the new 1960 Buick models received what might be described as a mild face lift. The canted headlights went away, in favor of a more traditional side by side configuration. The delta wing was slightly toned-down, as well. Did you know that the Electra 225 model got its name because its length is 225 inches?

While we're doing "did you know" questions, did you know that electric powered windshield wipers replaced the vacuum operated wipers used in previous years? Well, you would if you owned this book and checked-out section 1-5. You'd also learn things such as the single speed wipers were standard on the 4400 and 4600 series with the two-speed Cam-o-matic available as an option. The Cam-o-matic was standard on the 4700 and 4800 series. It then explains that windshield washers were standard on Cam-o-matic wipers, but not available on single speed wipers except by dealer installed accessory. The Cam-o-matic motor is larger than and different in design from the single speed motor. It's equipped with a washer pump. The pump bolts directly to the bottom of the wiper motor assembly and is driven by the motor. The pump is relay actuated through the switch on the instrument panel. The manual continues to describe the whole system and also provides circuit diagrams, black and white photographs and illustrations. For just this one system, you'll find: windshield wiper description and operations, windshield wiper diagnosis and testing, disassembly and assembly, windshield wiper adjustments, wiper specifications and procedures for the removal and replacement of assemblies.
