Did you know that a speedometer safety-buzzer was standard equipment on the 1959 Buick series 4800, and was a factory installed option on all other series? Well, you would if you owned this handy guide and turned to the section on electrical systems regarding speedometers (10-87). The feature consists of a buzzer which may be adjusted by the driver to sound at any speed between 20 and 110 MPH by turning a knob on the lower instrument panel. The speed at which the safety-buzzer is set is indicated by a dial at the left side of the speedometer face. This great guide has all of the facts about the system and instructions for trouble shooting, including a circuit diagram. That's just an example of the level of detail you'll find for all areas of these handsome classics.

There's no doubt that 1959 was a big year of change for Buick. For starters, they scrapped all of their famous, long-running model names, such as Special, Super, Roadmaster and Limited. That year, all new model names were rolled-out to compliment the all-new radical styling. In 1957, Chrysler reset the industry with its popular "Forward Look", which made all of the competitors cars look dated. While it took Buick a few years to catch-up, when the '59 models hit the showrooms, they were a bold sight to behold. Keep yours performing at its best by using this wonderful guide. It's the ultimate resource for the chassis work on your '59 Buick. Order yours today!

This factory-written shop manual is perfect for service, repairs, restoration and rebuild projects. Clear illustrations and photos show exploded views, as well as component details, plus specifications on engine data, engine torque, carburetion and more.
