This OEM 1963 Oldsmobile Service Manual (2-Volume Set) is a high quality authorized licensed reproduction of the original shop manual published by Oldsmobile Division. If you're ready to take on the projects for your 1963 Oldsmobile, this service manual is the first tool you should have in your hands. This monstrous guide clocks in at an astounding 1,240 pages. We've split it into two volumes to make it easier to manage. Topics begin with general information and continue with lubrication, Hydra-Matic, steering, suspension, differential and propeller shaft, brakes, engine, carburetion, engine tune-up, Synchromesh clutch, frame, bumpers, chassis sheet metal, instrument panel, accessories, electrical, heater, air conditioner and body. As you can see, this service manual is comprehensive. This book includes wiring diagrams.

In 1963, Oldsmobile was way ahead of their time. Did you know they offered a turbo-charged engine? This repair manual has you covered on that system as well, There were some intricate parts and designs in place to make it all work. Don't just take my word for it. Here's and excerpt from the book..."Turbo-charging the engine packs air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber and when ignition occurs, the resultant explosion can cause detonation unless properly cooled or controlled. Cooling or controlling is accomplished by an anti-detonant fluid. 'Turbo-Rocket Fluid' is injected into the combustion chamber by a fluid metering valve on the side of the carburetor, any time manifold pressure exceeds 1 psi. DO NOT USE A SUBSTITUTE. A safety device in the Fluid Metering Valve limits the amount of boost pressure if the fluid supply is depleted."

Imagine that. Opening your hood to top-off the "Turbo-Rocket Fluid" reservoir! When it comes to repairing and servicing something as complex as the turbo-charger, you'll appreciate this guide. In fact, for all sections and projects, it provides detailed written instructions accompanied by a vast number of illustrations, black and white photos, diagrams, cut-away views and tables in order to give you knowledge and confidence to get the jobs done right.
