Below: Darrell Riding sent a photo of his 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster 2-door custom sedan. When he purchased it, he car was—as Darrell describes it—"a rust bucket!" From that point on, it underwent a frame-off restoration, where the frame was sand-blasted, and a Mustang 2 front-end with power-steering and disc brakes was installed. But the upgrades did not stop there.

A 1976 Chevy Nova donated a 2:73 rear end, the original wiring harness was replaced by a new one, antique gold VDO gauges were mounted in the dash and bucket seats from a 2000 Ford Focus were installed, among many more upgrades. All in all, it took about 6 years for the car to be completed.

Darrell's '48 Fleetmaster is powered by a Chevy 350 V8 coupled to a 350 tranny. Burleson, TX.
