Triumph motorcycle repair manuals. From Meriden to Hinckley.
Whether you own a classic or a modern Triumph motorcycle, they all share a few things in common; they are as English as afternoon tea, and they all need regular maintenance.
The repair, service and restoration manuals available from The Motor Bookstore, cover Triumph bikes from the mid 1940s to the present, and are written for do-it-yourself mechanics working on their bikes at home.
These manuals address every system and component, from basic regular maintenance to service and troubleshooting, all the way to complete engine teardown and rebuild.
Information is presented in chapters with step-by-step text instructions accompanied by clear, close-up photographs of the part or system being worked on. When appropriate, exploded views are provided.
Maintaining and even repairing your Triumph motorcycle is not hard to do, as long as you have the right information readily available, and the repair manuals and restoration guides we sell, provide all that so you can take care of your bike by performing scheduled maintenance, such as:
- Changing the motor oil and oil filter
- Cleaning the air filter box and replacing the air cleaner element
- Checking the spark plugs, gapping or replacing them when necessary
- Troubleshooting and fixing small problems
- Checking, servicing and repairing the brakes
- Adjusting and servicing the suspension
- Complete ground-up Triumph motorcycle restoration, if so desired.
Back in the 1980s, I purchased an old, beat-up Triumph 650 Tiger for a couple hundred dollars. With both the Clymer and Haynes manuals in hand, I completely took the bike apart, went through the engine, transmission, primary, clutch and carburetor repairing or replacing parts as needed.
Since I had the bike completely dismanteled, I also repainted the tank, fenders and side panels, and polished every aluminum part I could find.
The project took a couple of months, and in the end, I had a gorgeous-looking Triumph I rode for several months until someone actually begged me to sell him the bike.
You can take care of your bike with the right information, and these books are easy to understand.
