This Seloc repair manual covers 1992-1997 Sea-Doo Bombardier Personal Watercraft, including all GS, GSI, GSX, GTI, GTS, GTX, HX, SP, SPI, SPX and XP models.

If you own a personal watercraft, maybe you'd like to take care of the maintenance and repair work on that watercraft personally, too, rather than hauling it out to a mechanic who might charge you thousands every time you need work done. The Sea-Doo PWC Repair Manual 1992-1997 available at The Motor Bookstore covers the Sea-Doo GS, GSI, GSX, GTS, GTX, HX, SP, SPI, SPX, XP models in 334 pages packed with photos and diagrams to help you undertake any repair, including ignition, tuning, electrical, jet pump, control adjustments, cranking the motor assembling, how the integral fuel pump operates, and the Bombardier 650 SPI piston operation. The manual usually ships the next business day after your order to The Motor Bookstore, and shipping is free to the contiguous 48 United States.

Book Excerpt: 1992-1997 Sea-Doo GS, GSI, GSX, GTS, GTX, HX, SP, SPI, SPX, XP Repair Manual ELECTRICAL: CRANKING MOTOR ASSEMBLING
  1. Slide the clutch housing onto the armature shaft, followed by a washer, and the pinion gear assembly.
  2. Install the following components onto the armature shaft in the sequence given: first the spring, followed by the collar, and finally the snap ring.
SAFETY WORDS
Snap rings and C-lockrings are made of spring steel and may pop out of the groove with considerable force. Therefore, warn others in the area and WEAR eye protection glasses or a shield while removing this type ring. 3. Hold the collar down against the spring while the snap ring is installed. The ring must be crimped around the groove in the shaft with a pair of pliers. When properly installed the collar will completely hide the spring. Place the end of the armature shaft on the workbench and use a small punch to tap down the collar, as shown.
FUEL AND OIL | INTEGRAL FUEL PUMP: DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The integral fuel pump consists of a series of diaphragms and check valves operated by crankcase pressure. The pump feeds fuel directly into the fuel chamber through the inlet valve. As the piston moves upward, a suction, or negative pressure, is created in the crankcase. This low pressure acts upon the inner diaphragm through the carburetor. The inner diaphragm is, therefore, pulled inward. When the diaphragm moves inward the check valve opens and fuel is drawn from the bottom of the fuel pump exterior chamber into the fuel pump interor chamber. As the piston moves downward, a positive pressure is created in the crankcase causing the inner diaphragm to be pushed outward. The delivery check valve opens under pressure and allows fuel to flow into the upper part of the exterior chamber and onto the inlet valve of the carburetor.
