In order to properly maintain or repair your Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle-usually referred to as an ATV, for short-you will need a good assortment of tools, a suitable dry well-lit area, and the right Polaris ATV repair and service manual.

Clymer and Haynes have been publishing manuals for do-it-yourself "weekend mechanics" for many years, and we at The Motor Bookstore stock all the manuals available from them covering Polaris ATVs. Model coverage varies in year and engine displacement but includes the most popular models such as the Scrambler, Predator, Cyclone, Magnum, Sportsman, Trail Blazer and others. For mechanics that regularly have to repair ATVs, you'll want to have a Polaris shop manual for each of the more common ATV models.

ATVs usually see plenty of off-road activity. As dependable as modern vehicles are, they need to be serviced on a regular basis in order to perform properly. The repair manuals for Polaris ATVs we sell include detailed maintenance information and schedules, as well as more advanced service and repair sections which allow the owner to completely rebuild the vehicle, if so desired.

With the proper ATV service manual, maintaining your ATV is an easy task. Performing regular service jobs such as oil changes, replacing the spark plug, installing a new air cleaner element and so forth, will not only allow your Polaris to operate trouble-free, but it will also save you time, money and aggravation in the long run.

Above: Theodore S. Hegley's 1999 Polaris 500 Magnum ATV. It was rebuilt from a used vehicle which would not run. Theodore painted the plastic with a camo pattern to match the camo Polaris bag. He also mounted a motorcycle-style mirror on the left handlebar. The ATV runs like new now and has taken him many miles into the northern Wisconsin woods. Baraboo, WI.
