The Dodge 426 Hemi Engine Table Lamp is an 18 inch very cool lamp with a detailed 1:6 scale replica model of the classic 426 Hemi Engine mounted on a sturdy plastic base.
The engine die-cast model is made of die-cast metal with some plastic parts. The engine portion of the lamp includes actual moving parts, e.g. the starter motor gear turns the flywheel gear which actually turns the fan (and fan pulleys/belts), the alternator and the power steering pump.
The lamp stands eighteen inches high and includes a 7 foot UL approved AC power cord and 60 watt bulb. The lamp shade is decorated with awesome vintage photographs of the 426 Hemi Engine.
Additionally, the engine die-cast includes the following details:
- Removable air cleaner to reveal detailed carburetors.
- Real Chrome plated air cleaner.
- Full detailed rubber ignition wiring.
- Realistic intake and exhaust manifolds - including breather pipes, etc.
- Fuel system with fuel lines, filters and pump.
This lamp and die-cast model is fully assembled - it is not a kit.
The Dodge 426 Hemi engine, nicknamed the "Elephant" was built by Chrysler with a hemispherical combustion chamber, which allows the "valves of a two-valve-per-cylinder engine to face each other across the chamber rather than opening side-by-side, Courtesy of Wikipedia.
