Mercury launched the 1949 Coupe model, based on the same platform as the Mercury Eight, available to the U.S. public after the end of World War II. These models quickly became blank canvases for car customizers of the era.
The Eight was a car design ahead of its time and, as such, a welcome sight after the War years. All Mercury Eights, were powered by Ford Flathead V8 engines, which were a little more powerful than those powering Ford models.
This die-cast metal model, is a true 1/24-scale reproduction of the 1949 Mercury Coupe edition and it includes a clear display case and a chrome base for display purposes. It can also be shown as a stand-alone, if so desired. These are display models, NOT toys!
At almost 8 inches from front bumper to rear bumper, and close to 2 pounds, this beautiful model is not a toy but a collectible that will look great on your desk or book shelf.
Features detailed engine, working hood, doors, trunk lid, steering wheel and front wheels.
Needless to say, it makes a wonderful gift for any motorhead or car collector, for any occasion!
The Motor Bookstore is proud to offer this great collectible die-cast model, but quantities are very limited and available only on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that, because of the exclusive nature of the product, these items are non-returnable.
