Off the Beaten Track Vol. 3: A Guide to Mountain Biking in North Georgia
Who would have guessed that just a few short hours north of Atlanta is some of the best mountain biking in the East? North Georgia is home to Bull Mountain, the Aska Trails, and Pigeon Mountain, just to name a few. From Dalton to Clarksville, from Blue Ridge to Dahlonega, this revised and expanded guide includes all the best rides from the original version, plus all the newest additions.
It now lists a total of 64 rides, with many routes not published in any other trail guide! Each route description includes a detailed map (with inset maps to each trailhead), directions to the starting point, mileage, estimated riding time, trail highlights, and elevation profile. And like all the volumes in the Off The Beaten Track Mountain Bike Guide series, this book includes guidelines for riding in the National Forest, lodging and camping information, and area resources for cyclists, including local bike shops.
