Build Your Own Off-Road Buggy for as Little as £100
This book is a step-by-step guide to building a single-seater off-road buggy. Using standard tools, basic skills and low-cost materials, it shows how to make the frame, and advises how to modify and use cheap but serviceable mechanical components from a donor motorcycle. The result is both a low-cost, entertaining buggy and a learning experience in engineering and design.
This all-color book includes instructions on:
- The tools and materials required
- What to salvage from your donor motorcycle and where to find what else is needed
- How to make the strong tubular-steel buggy frame, the axles and steering components, and the controls
- How to choose a suitable engine and gearbox
- Alternative ways of making some of the components
- How to carry out finishing and final assembly
- Where to use your buggy and how to drive it safely
