Drag racing attracts more drivers to its ranks than any other motorsport in the world. But beginners often suffer through many trials and errors. How to Drag Race is your in-depth guide that reveals all aspects of the sport, so you avoid the pitfalls and rookie mistakes. In turn, your drag racing experience is more fun and rewarding.

How to Drag Race is a comprehensive and indispensable resource for drag racing, so you can confidently launch off the line, maintain, tune, and set up a drag car.

With nearly 300 color photos and illustrations, you are given the inside line on performing a burnout, staging, launching, driving the finish line, using electronic driving aids, selecting safety equipment, and so much more.

In addition, special coverage is dedicated to bracket racing, the most popular form of drag racing, which includes driving fundamentals, advanced tactics, strategy, and setup tips. It also includes run and logbook sheets for complete record keeping.

About the Author

Kevin McKenna was barely a teenager when he made his first trip to the drag races, but he quickly realized that the world's fastest motorsport would eventually become his life's work. A former race official who at one time or another has performed nearly ever duty necessary to conduct an event (including one very forgettable stint as a track announcer), he eventually settled into a career as a motorsports journalist. McKenna resides in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
